Why are some of the children’s rooms closed at times on the weekend?
It is our desire that every child who comes to Cornerstone will find a safe, age appropriate and fun environment in which to learn about Jesus and his love. Unfortunately there are times when we have to close a classroom due to the ratio of children to teachers that we can accept into that particular class, or because we have simply reached the enrollment ceiling for that room. Although we are recruiting and training additional teachers each month our growth is outpacing our recruiting efforts. Contact us to find out ways your can help.
Why does my child cry when I leave him in The Zone?
It is very normal for children to display a good amount of separation anxiety at various stages in their development. However, if your child continues to cry for more than a few minutes, we will page you.
What do you do to screen volunteers?
Each volunteer in The Zone (the people in your child’s classroom with a Zone ID/name badge) is required to fill out a comprehensive volunteer application before starting their ministry. Each application is individually reviewed and the references are checked. We also run a Department of Justice background check. For more detailed information regarding the application/orientation process, please contact one of The Zone staff members.
My child just had a birthday. When should I move him or her up?
We group our classrooms according to developmental levels, which generally correspond with age. Children are welcome to move up when they have a birthday.
Who do I contact if I have questions/suggestions or comments?
We love to get your feedback. Your constructive criticism or suggestions will help us to grow and improve our ministry to your children, the positive feedback we’ll pass on to our volunteers to encourage and support them. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can serve you better, or how we exceeded your expectation!
