Worship Community

FAQ

1. Who makes up the worship teams?

The worship teams are made up of men and women who call Cornerstone Fellowship home for at least six months. The teams are not made up of "professional" musicians. Some play and perform in other venues outside of Cornerstone, but most do not. The common element is that they love to sing and play and want to use their gifts for the purpose of leading others in worship.

2. How can I get involved?

Involvement on any of the worship community teams is through auditions and is based upon the particular needs of each worship team within the various ministries.

3. Do you have a choir?

We have what we refer to as a Worship Leading Choir, large group vocal teams that are part of the worship team on various weekends. The group does not perform "special numbers" but rather focuses on corporate worship. An audition is necessary for involvement on a team.

4. What is the musical style of Cornerstone''s worship?

We are contemporary in our worship style, using a full band with drums, guitars and keyboards. That doesn't mean you won't hear the great hymns of the church, you'll just hear them differently than before. There is a lot of energy in our worship as we celebrate and worship our awesome God.

5. What does the worship "look" like at Cornerstone?

We are guided by two principles in our worship here at Cornerstone; to worship passionately and authentically. Why we worship like we do is born out of a desire to respond to our God who responded to our need by sending His Son to die for us so that we may live. You will see people standing, singing and occasionally shouting in praise.
