Wedding / Pre-Marital

The Covenant of Marriage

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. We, the staff at Cornerstone Fellowship, look forward to serving you as you prepare for this very special occasion.

We believe God established the union of marriage between a man and a woman to be a sacred, life-long commitment. God gives a wife to a husband and a husband to a wife, and they are to receive one another as God's unique and personal gift.  (Genesis 2:18, 22-24)

At the deepest level, Christian marriage is a covenant of faith and the closest human relationship possible. Jesus is intentionally invited to be a witness to your covenant of love and should remain at the center of your relationship, as you grow in your love for one another over a lifetime.

Your wedding ceremony is an expression of your heart's commitment and worship as you express your promises to each other before God.

The Process

1. After reviewing this brochure, call Cornerstone’s Wedding Ministry to fill out your detailed wedding intake and determine the availability of a Pastor and/or facilities for your wedding.

2. Weddings at Cornerstone or offsite with a Cornerstone Pastor officiating require a Pastoral Interview. You will be contacted within two week of your wedding intake to schedule your appointment for a Pastoral Interview.

3. After completion of the Pastoral Interview you will be given your Prepare and Enrich online testing. A marriage mentor couple will be assigned to you upon completion of the Prepare and Enrich testing. If your ceremony is at our Cornerstone facility, we will then confirm your wedding ceremony date.

4. Begin a minimum of eight sessions of pre-marital counseling. After the wedding, participate in a 6-month follow up session with your Mentor Couple.

5. If your ceremony is at Cornerstone, our wedding policy agreement will be mailed for your review and a meeting will be set up with our wedding coordinator to help you plan the details of your ceremony. At this point, your payment and signed agreement will be collected.

6. Your wedding day!
