The School of Ministry seeks to serve the body of Christ by providing a program for training the next generation of servants, leaders, and pastors. Students will follow a comprehensive program designed to prepare persons desirous of entering into lay, part-time, or full-time ministry by means of a program that consists of guided ministerial experience and academic courses and seminars all under the leadership of the experienced staff of Cornerstone Fellowship.
Students in the SOM will take courses through the School of Practical Ministry, the Cornerstone Bible Academy, and The Worldview Project.
The School of Practical Ministry
The School of Practical Ministry provides both classroom instruction and guided ministry experience. These classes are designed to provide the next generation of servants, leaders, and pastors with the practical knowledge they need to serve more effectively in ministry. Courses include: Christian Leadership—How to be a leader; Ethics in Ministry; How to Disciple Someone; and more. Students will also serve under a ministry leader—in a specific ministry of choice—that will enable them to gain personal ministry experience: including, Women’s; Men’s; Children’s; Youth; Teaching and Preaching; Single’s; Missions; and more.
Cornerstone Bible Academy
The Cornerstone Bible Academy offers classes that are designed to equip the body of Christ in their knowledge of the Word of God, Theology, Church History and more. These classes are designed both for those who are enrolled in the SOM and for the average church member who simply seeks to pursue a deeper study of the Bible. Classes include: Introduction to the OT/NT; Survey of various books; History of Christianity; Theology; and more.
Worldview Project
The WVP is a series of ongoing seminars designed to thoroughly equip the body of Christ in regards to a Christian worldview. The seminars will be designed in accord with one of two aims: First, some sessions will focus on equipping believers—new and mature, young and old—to be prepared to ‘defend the faith’ in every environment—home, work, or school and to provide answers for those who are inquiring about Christ. These seminars will address issues such as: the existence of God; the reliability of the Bible; evidence for creation; and world religions. Secondly, The Worldview Project seeks to motivate the Christian community to apply a Christian worldview in all aspects of the Christian life. These seminars will cover topics such as the Christian view of sexuality, wealth, government, ethics, and more. The Worldview Project seminars are open to the entire church body and guests.
